October started out with Fall into Fitness with everyone participating except our two Pathfinders that went to Africa to do evangelistic work.  We then focused on our monthly volunteer help with the Harvest Basket helping give out food to 146 families.  The community was great helping with our can collection for the Harvest Basket.  Over 1200 items were donated and given to the Harvest Basket.  This did not include the items kept by us for our Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets. We found time for our Area Camporee held at Wewoka Woods where, horseback riding, canoeing, amphibians, seeds, archery, and hot air balloons were on the schedule.  Jerry Franklin was our guest speaker.  We also inducted five new Pathfinders! With all this going on we also found time to finish our soap craft honor during club time.

October was a busy month. We started with attending the fall into fitness event at Wewoka Woods.  We had a wonderful Induction ceremony at the Sulphur Park on Oct 15, 2011.

On Oct. 19 & 26 we went out to the Davis community.  First to distribute bags and then to collect the can goods.  We were blessed with a great response from the community

Our Adventurer group was blessed to have one more staff member in our group, who will be helping with the Eager Beaver class.  We started with our Activity books and the Adventurers enjoyed doing a skit as part of the Bible I Award.

Our club went to the Antique Tractor & Implement Show. We had a booth where we made soap and then that evening we dressed in full dress uniform and lowered their flag for them.   We enjoyed doing the flag lowering program for the Tractor show and received many compliments
Texico/Oklahoma Camporee

Everything went well going to the camporee but we had numerous problems on the way back. Electrical short which was a surprise out in the middle of nowhere on a Sunday afternoon; then a new tire blew out! We didn’t realize that when the tire blew it broke the brake line and also blew a hole into the underside of the bus. Nothing but carpet kept the pathfinders from seeing the tire as it blew. God is so good.
He protected and guided us all the way
