Muskogee's Pathfinders
Muskogee Panthers and Sallisaw Cherokees joined forces and participated in the Muskogee Christmas Parade on December 6.

The sleigh was filled with boxes representing the gifts of the Spirit.

The 20+ foot sleigh was pulled by a red-nosed Dodge complete with antlers

Finally

Panthers distributed paper grocery sacks with a letter attached asking that the bag be filled with non-perishables to help the needy

The theme of the parade was "Christmas Wishes".  We wanted the community to know our wish is Jesus

Pathfinders in this picture may look calm
and collected but they're anything but.  Rather, they're discovering "spoon hockey" which is played with table spoons, ping pong balls, and, next time,
knee pads!

Muskogee's Pathfinders
The Muskogee's Pathfinders were "Making Strides" for the American Cancer Society's fund-raiser on October 19.  The "Panthers" were mentally strengthened as we studied for our Woodworking Honor on the trip to Lake Hefner in Oklahoma City;  physically strengthened as we conquered  the 5-mile course in the Stars & Stripes Park (although it didn't feel that way at the moment!).

Even Greg and Diana’s 3-month-old foster twins were real troopers as The Panthers "raced" through the course.  The Cancer Society staff cheered us on as we finished the walk with skinned knees, tired muscles and pounding, but happy hearts.  But wait, there is one more thing:  We were spiritually strengthened with a better understanding of what our dear Jesus is doing for us with our experience at "Messiah's Mansion", the life-size sanctuary sponsored by Tulsa New Haven Church on the trip home.
