Investiture Service and inspection.    We also had an Adventurer,  participate with the Tulsa Dreamcatcher Pathfinder Club in the Broken Arrow Rooster Day Parade.  They passed out Vacation Bible School invitations.

The float was an actual race car of a member of the Broken Arrow Church.  It's hard to believe that the end of year is already here.  It has been a great year.

What a month!  One of our Builders, was baptized on March 11th!  What a great day!  THIS IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT!!!  She was so excited to join God's church.

We also collected several sacks of candy, paper, socks, wash cloths, pens, pencils, playing cards, peanuts, sunscreen, etc. and a small Bible.  We put everything we could into the box the post office gave us and mailed to to a marine the director knows in IRAQ.  They told us it would be about two weeks before he gets it.  We are going to continue sending him boxes of stuff every few weeks.   We also made John, the marine, cards and will be sending them to him soon. What a great month!

The Tulsa Thunderbirds held their Induction this month.  They also collected the offering for Adventurer & Pathfinder Sabbath.  TheThunderbirds collected 102 cans for the church Thanksgiving baskets.

They left invitations to join the Discover Bible School.  I think next year we need to plan to can collect for several weeks since the kids love to go and we can always use more food for the baskets.  What a great group of kids!

ENID Adventurers

These are Enid's excited group of Adventurers on induction day and one picture of them hard at work at the Horn of Plenty food drive.  They had a lot of fun and are real hard workers.

Altus Adventurers:  We had our induction at Quartz Mountain on Oct 15th while our church family was enjoying Gods wonderful creation for Church. Our newest Adventurer is a BusyBee this year. We spent the weekend camping out there and enjoying the fellowship of our Church family as well as two other Church families in our district.

On Sunday we took a field trip to the Nature Center to learn more about the area we were and what animals live there. We learned about the tracks those animals leave and some of there skeletons. On Oct 22 the church put on a health program that we helped out with. We had 2 visitors come to the program. On the 29th we held our Adventurer Sabbath. We were so happy that Beverly Simms was able to attend with her husband. The whole club was in attendance as well.  The Adventurers took up the offering, dismissed the church at the end, led out in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Adventurer pledge and law, and did the scripture reading. The boys did a very good and job and the church family enjoyed the entire service.

This has been a busy month for the Adventurer Club.  We worked on two Florida honors, God's Sky and Sharks and the Eager Beavers earned Know Your Body and Pets. We also took a "Nature Walk" around the Tulsa Adventist Academy school grounds and picked up trash that was there. The kids always love going outside to see what critters they can find and end the meeting with playing on the playground!  What great kids we have in our club!

Wow!  We are off to a great year!  We have 10 children sign up for Adventurers with the possibility of 3 more joining.  We have added more staff this year.  We completed our story charts this week, the physical fitness awards and the Animals Award.  We are really excited about this year and all of the possibilities and new adventurers we are going to try.  We will be holding a Global Evangelism Meeting in October and we're going to have the Helping Hands work on their Evangelism Award.

What a year and what fun we expect to have!  We feel as God was protecting two of our adventurers as they were in a bad car accident.  One, a builder, had a broken arm.  The other one, a busy bee, had a concussion.  We're very thankful to Jesus for his protection over that family!
