We're not just a club--we all REALLY LIKE each other!

Earning the small engines honor on the way to camporee.

We have lots of boys in our club this year!

Our camporee home sweet home--you gotta love the smoke!

Sallisaw loves to march--especially Danielle.  She says next year she's going to miss marching and camping in the rain!

Anyone want to know why he loves Pathfinders?

Of course, Bj knows not to mess with our Pathfinders!

TLTs have done lots of inspections this year.  Here's one last one before she goes off to college! (Doesn't he look scared?)

Our Pathfinders know not to mess with BJ!

Muskogee Pathfinders Working on our Amphibian Honor

The best news we have is one of our youngest Panthers, is studying for baptism! The Valentine month found us working on our Cetaceans honor, and finishing our Bible Marking and Track and Field honors this month.  The weather was a factor in our planned INSPECTION on Feb. 18.  A few could not make it, however Apple was coming in spite of the weather but our Merciful Director Greg called and told him not to risk it.  The brave ones that did make it came in Class A's and ready to serve.  They led out in certain aspects of the Church Service, picked up offering, etc., and let our church see the determination of the PATHFINDERS to "deliver" come sleet or snow or dark of night.  Oh, yeah, that's the post office.  Well, the PANTHERS "delivered,"  too!!!

The Tulsa Dreamcatcher Club helped out the Community Service Center by preparing disaster bags.  They included soap, wash cloth, comb, lotions and shampoo.  We also discussed our white water rafting trip that we'll be going on at the end of May.

We had five Pathfinders prepare for the Bible Bowl.   They were very nervous, but were very excited about the answers they got correct!
They were very thankful when it was over!

We had the Teen Pathfinders complete their Automotive I honor.  One girl, Ali, checked her mom’s vehicle for transmission fluid and told her it was tremendously low.  The staff felt it was important for this age group of kids to know about cars since they are either taking Driver’s Ed or is getting their license.

Our Bible Bowl team diligently studying.

Muskogee Pathfinders:

Muskogee Christmas Parade theme was:       “IN THE HOLIDAY MOOOOD.”

We always want to convey a message of Jesus’ love, so we constructed a manger scene on a 21-foot trailer, complete with our own Travis, Brandy (his wife) and their son, Hayden, representing Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus.  We had a 16-foot-high star with “star light” and three 13-foot-high angels announcing the Greatest Gift of all.  Our written message was “Jesus is Coming Soon – R U Ready?”

In keeping with the holiday theme, we had a 4x8 “Cow” with 2 calves, and we noted that Jesus is the owner of the Cattle on a thousand hills.

The SALLISAW CHEROKEES came and did some fancy footwork, cadence announcing Who We Are, and assisted us in distributing very close to 2,000 pieces of literature!! THANK YOU,CHEROKEES!!!!!

Our fearless leader, APPLE PARK, also came and marched and carried the banner noting that we are SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST PATHFINDERS.  THANK YOU, APPLE!!!!

The Seventh Day Adventist Church was further recognized in the newspaper the next day as third place winner.

After the parade, Apple and the Cherokees came to our place and had pizza, and after that the Panthers had a wrestling match.  You can see who won.  (For now, anyway!! They are growing up fast.)

These are some of the pictures that were taken while the Pioneros Pathfinder Club were doing community Service with "Up with Trees" on October 16,2005.

The kids really enjoyed this activity; "they had to get up early on a Sunday morning and be ready to work by 0700.  We worked at the Riverside area.   The kids  learned the importance of placing mulch on trees and the right way to do it.  It was a great experience.

NOWATA FIRE
At the beginning of the month, the Nowata Pathfinder were in dress uniform and did bookwork.  Over the next two weeks we collected cans for Thanksgiving baskets in the Nowata Community.  Unfortunately, we only had a little over a hundred cans, so the pathfinders are going to pitch in and help with these baskets.  We are going to fill these baskets with a turkey, canned goods, and fruits for the holidays.  During our next get together we planned our induction, and that weekend is when we inducted new and returning pathfinders.

The church gathered at one of the elder's house and baked potatoes over the hot, fiery coals. (Thank you Dr. Meister for such a warming fire!)  As the night lead on induction came and it was time to begin.  To lighten up the night the pathfinders threw pinecones that were supposed to change the flame of the fire into the roaring fire pit to represent their class, and all went smoothly.  Then there was a hayride and s'mores to finish the night off.  This last month has been very eventful and exciting for the Nowata Fire Pathfinders.

With our new members inducted, the Sallisaw Cherokees pause for a quick picture before changing clothes and heading to Shores Lake for our overnight backpacking trip.

Sallisaw Pathfinders Backback Trip

Here we are BEFORE the trip.  You can tell it's before the trip because we're all looking so happy!

Jumping off the bluff into the river was a fun way to cool off.  All of the kids--even BJ--took a turn.

Of course, we didn't STAY in the water for very long--it was COLD!

On our way home again...what a strangely colored creature we make.

Zachary Howell is in the lead at the beginning of the trip....he didn't manage to stay there though!

Sallisaw and Wewoka built this monkey bridge together to satisfy one of the requirements for the Pioneering honor.

The kids had a lot of fun crossing back and forth and just hanging around on it.  Maybe that's why it's called a "monkey bridge"!

Enid Comets
Just wanted to let you know that we are off to a great start.  We did induction on Oct. 1st, and then did a food drive on Oct. 2nd.  These two pictures are from our food drive.  You can see my three Pathfinders (Andrew, Katie, & Andrea) hard at work in one and just a group picture in the next one.  We had a lot of fun and felt good knowing that we helped a lot of people.
