                    Pathfinders 2006-2007 (Spring)

Altus High Flyers.

Our year is ending on a great note. We started the month with a campout with our church. We camped out for three days while attending church, hiking, and swimming all in the same location. Before we left the area we visited the nature center to learn about the animals and plants that we had been sharing space with. Later in the month we had the great pleasure of entertaining Chuck and Donna Hill our coordinators.

They invested Alex with his new rank of Friend and the many honors that he has worked very hard on. During investiture Alex had to tell the church what we did this year in Pathfinders and about the Pathfinder Camporee.

This month we worked very hard in the seed honor. The Master Guides
participated with the pathfinders and adventurers in the investiture
program. we enjoyed the program very much.

The Tulsa Dreamcatcher Club
had a fun month.  They love to bicycle ride.  We went on a 10-mile bike ride (one of many).  We started after church and rode downtown to a beautiful park, then down by the river and back to the church.  Everyone had a great time and no injuries.  We only have the 50 mile bike ride left to complete our bicycle honor.

We loved the zip line!!
Sallisaw Cherokees recently spent a day at a ROPES course.  We learned a lot and had tons of fun!!

This is the challenge that really pulled us together.  When we
solved this one, we were ready for anything!

Trust me--it's terrifying!

We successfully met this challenge by using lots of different ideas from almost everyone in the club.
Our first volunteer up the wall.  He did great!

The Master Guides are preaching the 28 advent beliefs every Friday at night.
We worked remodeling a house to acquire funds for the camp in Texas. Thanks,
Luz and Mauricio. We took advantage to do the honors of
house-painting-interior.

We had a beautiful Induction Ceremony and the
presentation of the five members that were integrated in February in the
inspection that we had with Mr. Apple. The pastor made the calling to the
congregation and seven new members join the Club of Master Guides.

Oklahoma City Central Trailblazers

Snow, ice, and sleet almost sums up the month of January for the OKC Trailblazers. 2 of our regular Wednesday evening meetings and our International Food Festival fundraiser were canceled due to icy road conditions.  We rescheduled our Fundraiser for 2 Sundays later, and turns out that we were thankful we decided to do that because the following Sunday after the cancellation, the roads were again treacherous.  The day we had it, Sunday, January 28, was beautiful, and we had an excellent turnout with about 70 people attending to sample the cuisine from 12 tables of food representing such countries as Israel, El Salvador, Kenya, Mexico, Germans from Russia, Italy, Jamaica, Hawaii (remember Hawaii used to be a sovereign country), Russia, France, and Indonesia

In all we raised $350 for the purchase of our trailer to store our camping equipment and take camping with us!
